Does Kemie have its own showroom?

Kemie does not have its own showroom, however you can view our Kemie products at a kitchen specialist. We can inform you about the Kemie dealers in your region.

As a consumer, can I order directly from Kemie?

Kemie conducts business with kitchen specialists scattered across the whole of the Netherlands, as well as in Belgium and Germany. You can contact them to obtain your Kemie product.

My worktop has just been installed, what must I do before I start using it?

Before you start using the worktop, you must first of all carefully read the maintenance book, and if this is recommended, you can treat/impregnate the worktop.

I am completely satisfied with my worktop, what's next?

Tell everyone else!

I have a complaint, who can I contact?

If you have a complaint, you can contact your kitchen specialist. If possible, include photos with this complaint.

My worktop seems to be duller after cleaning, how is this possible?

If you have used the Kemie Cleaner or another thorough and powerful cleaner, your worktop can become duller. This is due to the power of the agent. We advise you to polish the whole worktop so that the shine gradually returns.

My worktop has been damaged, what can I do?

If your worktop has been damaged, you can contact your kitchen specialist. If possible, include photos with this report of damage.

Online Shop

Is it possible to receive a sample?

Yes, via our online shop, samples of the following materials can be obtained: Concretto, Ceramistone, Ceramas, Cosmostone, Natural Stone and Topglass. These are delivered within one week (with the exception of Topglass).

The product that I would like to order is not in stock. Will this product become available?

If a product is not in stock, you can send an e-mail to online shop@kemie.nl. We hope to be able to assist you further.

How can I pay via the online shop?

The payments are processed via iDeal. This is a payments standard for secure and immediate payments on the Internet. The banks that are connected to this are: ABN AMRO, ASN Bank, Friesland Bank, ING, Knab, Rabobank, RegioBank, SNS Bank, Triodos Bank and Van Lanschot Bankiers.

Can I return my product?

It is not possible to return samples. However, cleaning agents can be returned. If you wish you to cancel the purchase, you must do this within 14 working days. During this period, you must handle the product and the packaging with care.

My cleaning agent that I originally received with my worktop cannot be found in the online shop?

If your cleaning agent cannot be found in the online shop, we refer you to the agent that is currently available for your material/surface treatment.

Guarantee

For how long is the guarantee on my Kemie worktop valid?

Our guarantee conditions can be found here.

What is not covered by the guarantee?

Various things are not covered by the guarantee. E.g.: defects that result from properties that are naturally present in the material, defects that result from normal wear, negligence, improper or injudicious use or treatment or use of products that does not constitute normal domestic use, defects resulting from incorrect or careless assembly by your kitchen specialist and damage resulting from use caused by not adhering to the instructions for use.

Sinks

Does Kemie also supply sinks?

Kemie has an extensive collection of sinks in many different sizes and materials. You can find this collection here.

What must I certainly not allow to come into contact with my stainless steel sink?

Avoid contact with products containing acids and chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, silver polish, chlorine and tile- and cement cleaners. These can cause irreversible damage to the brushed stainless steel.

Is my stainless steel sink scratch resistant?

Although stainless steel is an extremely durable product, stainless steel is not scratch resistant and scratches in the sink cannot be prevented.

There are brown spots on my stainless steel sink, what has caused this?

This is caused by deposits from rust particles that are present in the tap water. These spots adhere to the stainless steel and can be removed using the usual cleaning agents such as Staalfix, a scourer or the Kemie Cleaner.

Ceramistone

What are the properties of Ceramistone?

Ceramistone is an innovative ceramic sheet material manufactured from natural raw materials. The material is resistant to scratches, acids and aggressive agents. It is also heat resistant. In addition, Ceramistone it is very easy to clean. Minor colour contamination and surface unevenness can be present.

What is the difference between Ceramistone, Ceramistone L and Ceramistone XL?

Ceramistone, Ceramistone L and Ceramistone XL are ceramic sheet material manufactured from natural raw materials. This material is resistant to scratches, acids, and aggressive agents, and it is heat resistant. The difference is that Ceramas has a worktop depth of 1200 mm and a worktop length of 3600 mm when compared to Ceramistone with a worktop depth of 1000 mm and a worktop length of 3000 mm and Ceramistone Lwith a worktop depth of 1500 mm and a worktop length of 3000 mm.

What is the best daily treatment for my Ceramistone worktop?

You can wipe your Ceramistone daily with a hot, damp cloth. After this, you dry it using a microfibre cloth.

Which cleaning agents do I need to thoroughly clean my Ceramistone worktop?

Ceramistone is extremely easy to clean and is resistant to scratches, acids and aggressive agents. It is also heat resistant. What are the properties of Natural Stone?

Do not place any hot pans directly onto the worktop, and avoid contact heat with the rear panel. Do not sit or stand on the worktop. Ensure that hard or sharp objects do not bump against or fall onto the worktop or the edge. This can cause damage to the worktop or the edge. Avoid contact with chemicals or strong alkaline agents. Do not allow the built-in dishwasher underneath to evaporate with an open door. Immediately remove any stains, dirt and grease from the worktop.

Is my Topglass worktop scratch resistant?

The hardened glass is not scratch resistant. Therefore avoid direct contact between the worktop and sharp objects, and use a cutting board when cutting. Also be careful when dragging heavy objects such as a pan or a shopping crate across the worktop. Dirt on the underside of these objects can cause scratches. Also prevent any hard, sharp objects from falling onto the worktop or onto the edge. This can cause damage to the worktop or the edge.
